Day 56
Jackson Day 56: 1630 grams or 3 lbs 9 oz. he gained half an ounce last night. His breathing is much better today. They gave him another albuterol treatment last night, and may do another if he needs it. The continuos feeding seems to be helping his spitting up. Tomorrow they will start to wean him back by giving him 15 cc every 2 hours and then an hour off. We can also resume bottle feeding and nursing. Seems like he just needed a day to recover. His airway is still really small and so hopefully as he gets bigger he will not have issues like this anymore. He's doing great today. Very sleepy and cute. FOJSP!
Tonight Hunter was feeding Jackson his bottle and he was not interested. So Hunter started doing airplane noises and Jackson gave him the biggest smile! It was the cutest thing I've ever seen. Wish I had caught it on camera, instead I got this silly face with no evidence whatsoever proving the above story is completely true.
